I now have a sexy car to drive around in, so I get it dirty by driving around in the middle of nowhere, lol. My cars are always well kept, but they do not live a clean existance while in my employ. ^_^

The first place is a local fen and nature reserve not more than fifteen minutes away. I'll upload a couple pics in just a sec. Honestly, I was a little disappointed. Saw plenty of animals and I had a good time, but the animals, zey are zee, how you say, camara shy. >.< I could watch a critter for a couple minutes and it'll be fine. The moment I brought the camera up, VROOM! They hop into their little BMW coupes and they're gone. There were a lot of people there. Kinda strange, that. I'm used to seeing maybe one or two people when I go to a wildlife reserve. There were near two dozen cars there when I arrived. O.O

Next place will be Woburn Abbey. I can't wait. ^_^

I be settled. As in, it's taken me a year, but I am in England with a swanky 'uter and decent internet. I've begun to take pictures again and get back to my writing--you have no idea how many little plot ideas are floating around this noggin, lol! AND...And I will have my new car this coming week. It's a stick-shift. That will be freaky. I do not like stick-shifts, but they're almost a thousand dollars cheaper than automatics and I am a very cheap bastard. ^_^

I must get to bed but, as a little something to tide you all over (if anyone still has me on their friends lists, lol), I'll upload a couple pics before I do. Ta!

And shiznit. ^_^ Tomorrow is my last day here before I ship off to military basic training. Hopefully, all goes well. I'll be back, eventually. One way or another. Ciao!

Long story short: someone in the military got a DUI and was kicked out. Because of that, they asked if I wanted to take his place. I now ship out on the fifteenth of this month. I'm going on a tall ship ride today and then I go straight down to southern California to say hello and bye to a few people before I go.
I'll be honest. I'm nervous about shipping out so soon but, above all, I'm sad I won't have that extra time with Cris I was going to. We both realise, however, it is for the best. Sometimes opportunity rings the doorbell and, um, stuff. Must dash. I'll be back in a couple days.

Well, a lot has been happening lately.
1) Lost job. It was to be expected, though. Apparently, while I'm a great dog trainer, I REALLY suck at sales, lol.
2) Joined the military. An unlikely solution to the aforementioned problem, I'll admit, but I'm strangely looking forward to it--perhaps even moreso after going through an orientation where they brought us all out and gave us a taste of basic training. Yeah. They yelled in some of our faces. It was interesting and a little scary and I'm looking forward to it in spite of it (or maybe because of it). I've been in a bit of a rut for a few years and I'm looking forward to the challenge and stability of the military. I ship out sometime in June or later. We'll see what happens. I'm happy to say that the very sexy woman I'm living with has been very supportive of me during the entire situation. Did I mention she has fantastic boobs that are getting in the way of my typing?
3) Gained Ultra-Spiffy SLR camera. My dad the photographer is switching over to digital and that means I get cast offs. Like the Sony Alpha A100 that he bought as a trial run. He's since moved on to the A200 and A700. It's taking me a while to get the hang of it after the Kodak point n'shoot but, so far, it's been brilliant fun to play with. Now, I just need to find a good marsh to take wildlife pics at. ^_^
